Though hair restoration is considered elective surgery, it has been traditionally one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for men.   Though the costs are high, many men with hair loss are willing to shell out tens of thousands of dollars at a chance to restore their lustrous locks and youthful appearance.

Hair transplants however, in conjunction with dozens of other elective cosmetic procedures may increase in price thanks to the governments attempt at overhauling  healthcare.  In an attempt to finance the trillion-dollar healthcare overhaul plan, Congress proposes to add a 10% additional tax on surgical hair replacement and all other cosmetic procedures.  

As usual, I suspect the government’s bright idea to increase and add additional taxes is only going to hurt the economy more than help it.
