Safe to Use Hair Loss Drug Propecia (Finasteride) with Saw Palmetto?
This question, from a member of our hair loss social community and discussion forums, was answered by Coalition hair transplant surgeon Dr. Glenn Charles:
I am sure somebody has asked this before, but I thought I would ask as well. Is it bad to start [tag]Saw Palmetto[/tag] two years after [tag]hair transplant[/tag] surgery along with [tag]Propecia[/tag] ([tag]finasteride[/tag]) and [tag]Rogaine[/tag] ([tag]minoxidil[/tag])? I really don’t want to go through another “shed” from the Saw Palmetto if it starts to work.
I don’t see why there would be any harm in combining the [tag]hair loss[/tag] drug Propecia and Saw Palmetto. I have never seen any studies showing the efficacy of the combined use of these two [tag]DHT[/tag] blockers.
