“Wispy” and Lifeless Hair 5 Months After a Hair Transplant – Is This Normal?
This insightful information was posted on our hair restoration forum by Dr. Timothy Carman of La Jolla, CA, who is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network.
I am 5 months out from [tag]hair transplant[/tag] surgery and [tag]hair growth[/tag] appears wispy and lifeless in some areas. Will this improve with time? Also, can I expect more hair growth in the coming months? Also, why do I have pimples on my scalp?
Newly [tag]transplanted hair[/tag] typically grows in with less caliber at the start, so remain optimistic and continue to be the “patient” patient as you have been. 5 months out from [tag]hair restoration[/tag] surgery is definitely too early and yes, you should continue to see increased density with more time.
The pimples are a very good sign that things are right on track.
