I’m supposed to go in today with my money ready.  Now I’m worried after reading  all these reviews.  Do they actually work? I’m not balding just thinning hair.  I don’t really wanna pay 3000 for it.  Can I buy just the shampoo and pills elsewhere? Cuz they said If no treatment no laser comb.  Just shampoo and pills and stuff would cost 2000. Sigh, I don’t know what to do.

I would need much more information to fully address your question. For instance, I don’t know who “they” are, you haven’t stated if you are male or female and I don’t  know exactly what treatment plant you are considering.

There is no hair loss cure. However there are legitimate surgical and medical treatments that work very well for many balding men and women. Males are often encouraged to treat genetic hair loss with a combination of Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine. (minoxidil). These are the only two drugs both clinically proven and FDA approved for treating androgenic alopecia.

Propecia is a tablet while Rogaine comes in liquid or foam variations. They  are both quire affordable. This is especially true in generic form. There is no need to spend thousands of dollars on non-surgical hair loss treatments.

Of the two treatments mentioned above, only Rogaine is safe for use by women. There is no “shampoo” clinically proven effective for hair growth.

Many hair loss sufferers are also candidates for hair transplant surgery but many factors such as age, degree of hair loss, hair restoration goals and others play a part in determining if surgery is right for a given patient.

There is a lot to know about hair transplant surgery. Take your time and research the pages linked to this article. An excellent place to start is our hair loss forum and social network.

It’s also extremely important to choose a skilled and experienced hair restoration physician like those recommended by the Hair Transplant Network.  To see how we pre-screen and recommend hair transplant surgeons worldwide, see our recommendation criteria.
