What Is the Best Hair Transplant Tool for Patients with Diffuse Hair Loss?
The following thorough response to a question from the Hair Restoration Social Community and Discussion Forums, was written by forum member “Gillenator”.
What would you be the best hair transplant tool to use on diffuse thinning hair to prevent shock loss of native hair; Custom blades, implanter pen etc.?
Overall, my observation has been that blades are less invasive, but like anything else, it’s the proven skill of the hair restoration surgeon using them and especially when it’s a case of working within a diffused hair mass.
Medial hair loss treatments helping to minimize shock loss is a controversial issue and overall I tend to have the opinion that they do not help significantly because shock loss for the most part is related to how the individual responds to the level of trauma caused by the surgery.
The more diffused the the hair loss, the more susceptible the existing hair can be to shock loss.
