Propecia For Hair Loss Not Working After 6 Months – What to Do?

Help, I am a [tag]hair loss[/tag] sufferer and have have been using [tag]Propecia[/tag] for 6 months.    I am still experiencing [tag]hair shedding[/tag].   What should I do?   Should I stop using Propecia?

Thank you for your inquiry.   In my opinion, it is best to give [tag]Propecia[/tag] ([tag]finasteride[/tag])  at least one year before deciding whether or not it is working for you.

You might want to consider adding [tag]Rogaine[/tag] 5% (foam or liquid) to your regime which contains active ingredient [tag]minoxodil[/tag]. When used in combination with  Propecia, they are said to have a synergistic effect creating a much greater chance of combating future hair loss.   They might even [tag]regrow hair[/tag].

Adding [tag]Nizoral shampoo[/tag] or [tag]Revita shampoo[/tag] as an adjunct treatment may also prove to be beneficial.   Active ingredient [tag]ketoconazole[/tag] 2%  is said to be a  weak inhibitor of [tag]dihydrotestosterone[/tag] or [tag]DHT[/tag], the hormone responsible for [tag]genetic hair loss[/tag].

Remember that there is no [tag]hair loss cure[/tag] and it is possible that [tag]hair loss drugs[/tag] won’t work for you.
