Hair Transplant Surgery for Diffuse Hair Loss?

I suffer from [tag]diffuse hair loss[/tag], meaning I’m thinning in a non-patterned fashion (unlike those suffering from [tag]genetic male hair loss[/tag] or “[tag]male pattern baldness[/tag]”), and I’m wondering if [tag]hair transplant surgery[/tag] is a treatment option? Should individuals with diffuse hair loss undergo [tag]hair transplantation[/tag]?

The Hair Up There: 

Diffuse thinning (either [tag]Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia[/tag]/DUPA or [tag]Diffuse Patterned Alopecia[/tag]/DPA) is tricky and every case is different.

This should be looked at by a [tag]hair restoration[/tag] physician who can take a look at your specific situation and see if a hair transplant is a good option for you.

Without photos it’s very hard to say. If the donor area is too thin already then [tag]Follicular Unit Transplantation[/tag] ([tag]FUT[/tag]) is most likely not a good option for you, but [tag]Follicular Unit Extraction[/tag] ([tag]FUE[/tag]) could work; but again it depends on the situation and if it’s worth it in the long run.
