Hello, I’m 23 years old suffering from [tag]male pattern baldness[/tag] and have been developing a [tag]bald[/tag] spot on my crown for about 18 months now. I have been saving for a [tag]hair transplant[/tag] but I really dont know who to go to for the procedure. The internet is just packed with so much information. Could anyone recommend a [tag]hair restoration[/tag] physician in the Sydney area? I’d really appreciate any feedback.
Before considering surgery, have you considered non surgical [tag]hair loss treatment[/tag] options such as [tag]Propecia[/tag] ([tag]finasteride[/tag]) and [tag]Rogaine[/tag] ([tag]minoxidil[/tag]) to help with hair loss prevention? When using these two drugs in combination with one another, you are presented with the greatest chance of stimulating [tag]hair regrowth[/tag]].
Keep in mind that [tag]hair transplantation[/tag] does nothing to combat against future [tag]baldness[/tag]. Instead, a surgeon removes hair from the “safe zone” on the sides and back of your head and transplants it into [tag]balding[/tag] areas of your scalp. For those who are still [tag]losing hair[/tag], non surgical hair loss products become an important overall part of one’s long term restoration game plan.
In my opinion, consider Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil) for a year (assuming no side effects), and then reconsider whether or not [tag]hair replacement[/tag] surgery is right for you.
Best wishes,
Bill

If you go propecia/minox/combo route, make sure you are taking dosage that suits your body. All studies I have seen show effectiveness anywhere from .25 to 1mg. I take .25, but my body responds to medicine big time, (im AB blood type, which I think makes a difference, but that's another blog on its own.) If you don't want to swallow a pill, good HT docs are not hard to find these days, I won't endorse anyone, but the good ones show you why they are good. My doc had 3 patients meet me before I had my first(I was 27). Also realize that when/if you have the surgery young, you may need/want another.
