FDA Approves Generic Rogaine Foam (5% Minoxidil) by Perrigo for Hair Loss

[tag]Perrigo[/tag] Company, the largest manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceuticals in the United States, recently announced FDA approval to produce a generic version of McNeil’s popular Men’s [tag]Rogaine Foam[/tag]  for [tag]hair loss[/tag]. The new generic [tag]minoxidil[/tag] foam is slated to become available in the United States on March 1, 2012. Currently only liquid minoxidil is available in generic form.

The benefits of Rogaine Foam over its liquid counterpart include:

• Less scalp irritation
• Better absorption
