Fick,

Yes, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is the hormone responsible for hair loss and has been linked to increases/growth of body hair.

As far as stacking Propecia (finasteride) with a body building supplement that already blocks DHT is concerned, I would definitely discuss this issue with a personal physician as you want to make sure you aren't taking twice the normal amount of (essentially) one medication (DHT blocker).

I hope this helps.

So, the DHT is the root cause of hair loss and increase in body hair? Ok, I've been taking bodybuilding supplement that helps in DHT blocking, is it okay for me to consume Propecia as well?Does is stacked? any negative effect?

I have been taking Propecia for about 6 months and a very positive side effect has been the reduction (and almost the elimination) of upper should and back hair. It was never very dense, but a little course. It is basically gone. Propecia needs to be advertising this affect as I am not seeing a significant amount of scalp regrowth, but this back hair reduction is great.
