Keep in mind that no medication, Rogaine or otherwise grows hair follicles. In other words, if no hair follicle exists beneath the surface of the skin, Rogaine will not produce hair where no follicle exists.

it is true.but whwn your hair folicules begin to die , using rogaine is the one of the 3 choices.
1.propecia
2.rogaine
3.wait until your hair folicules die and became fully bald

first 2 of 3 is not cure baldness but makes your hair grow and dont let them to die for a time when you use them

Geoff,

Rogaine has only been tested and FDA approved for use on the scalp. However, since unwanted body hair growth has been found as a reported side effect especially in women who use the stronger 5% minoxidil, in my opinion, Rogaine is most likely going to enhance body hair growth by making it thicker and darker.

Keep in mind that no medication, Rogaine or otherwise grows hair follicles. In other words, if no hair follicle exists beneath the surface of the skin, Rogaine will not produce hair where no follicle exists.

As far as where you can use it - probably anywhere. But just be aware that the potential of side effects applies not only to when minoxidil is applied to the scalp.

Best wishes,

Can you use Rogaine in other areas other than the scalp? If so, where and where not?

(i.e. I have a beard and it is not fully thick, is it ok/possible to use rogaine to maximize the thickness of a beard and other areas?)
