I always knew that Dr. Parsley was one of the true “Good Guys” in the hair restoration profession and known for his dedication and compassion. But seeing him and his staff putting these values into practice was truly impressive. They took every measure possible to optimize the patient’s procedure at every step of the way. It’s no wonder that Dr. Parsley was awarded the Golden Follicle Award in 2003.
Dr. Parsley’s wife, Mary Ann Parsley, R.N., is also a real gem and just this year was awarded the 2005 Distinguished Assistant’s Award by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) during its meeting in Australia. This award is the surgical technician’s equivalent of the Golden Follicle Award. I’m quite sure they are the only husband and wife team to have such prestigious and well deserved awards sitting side by side. Together they set both a high standard and example for their entire team.
In addition to Mary Ann, three of the other surgical techs are also certified RNs. While this may not be necessary it is impressive to see such a qualified staff preparing the grafts.
As follicular unit surgery was emerging in the early 1990’s, Dr. Parsley was one of the first to convert to using microscopes to prepare follicular unit grafts. His introduction to this state of the art procedure began in early 1990’s with a trip to the Moser Clinic in Germany. He later advanced his follicular unit grafting with a trip to Dr. Bob Limmer’s office in early 1996. He and his staff have continued to be at the cutting edge of hair transplant surgery.

I’ve spent the past several weeks visiting various leading hair restoration clinics on the East Coast and in the Midwest this summer and early fall.
I had the opportunity to visit Dr. Griffin and his staff in Atlanta, GA and their surgical hair transplant results are absolutely world class (to see the highlights of my visit to their clinic view “Leading Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia“).
In addition to seeing their “patient of the day” I also saw many other impressive results. I wanted to share just a few of these photos in this album to show how clean and minimally invasive the Ultra Refined Follicular Unit Grafting procedure can be in the expert hands of a surgeon like Dr. Griffin.

After once again seeing Dr. Griffin and his staff in action, I’m very impressed by how they take every measure possible to optimize a patient’s procedure at every step of the way. In my opinion their level of skill, dedication and care is absolutely world class.
Yet it amazes me how few people online really appreciate just how outstanding their work and clinic is. So often the clinics who do the very best hair transplant surgery like Dr. Griffin’s clinic are so focused on the procedure they spend little or no time touting their work on the forums. Thus the forums are often dominated by a few big names who are savvy at getting a “buzz” going online.
I hope that this write up will give Dr. Griffin and his staff some recognition online for the truly outstanding work they do every day.
Dr. Griffin has been doing microscopically prepared follicular unit hair transplantation since the early nineties and he and his staff have stayed on the cutting edge ever since. He and his staff take great care in removing and suturing the donor area to avoid any unnecessary transection of hair follicles or damage to the donor area. They also remove only narrow and wide strips to ensure that they can close and suture the donor area with a minimal amount tension. Due to his technique and care Dr. Griffin’s patients commonly find that their donor scar is virtually undectable.
Dr. Griffin has a large and well trained staff who can accommodate any size case. Thus the size of a session is not limited to what the staff can do but what is ultimately safe for the patient.
